Everyone's skint. I'm not here to point fingers or mansplain the reasons why, we all know what they are. Hobbies are often the first cost on the chopping block when you're trying to balance the household budget but, I have to tell you legends, you can absolutely save those discretionary funds and still enjoy your photography.

Yes, some of my recommendations are going to be open source apps - software that’s community developed and maintained by keen enthusiasts - and those apps often lack the slick design chops of commercial apps. But it’s not all sandals-and-socks energy. Some of these apps punch well above their price tag.
